POSTAGE AND PACKAGING
There is a charge for postage and packaging for all orders. This is automatically added at the checkout, having been calculated based on the weight and size to the particular region. We do our best to keep these costs reasonable and fair. (If we find we have overcharged you for postage and packaging, we will automatically refund the difference.)
For all items in stock, we normally dispatch orders the same working day if we receive the order before 1pm. (Orders received between 1pm-4pm may also be dispatched the same day although we cannot guarantee this.)
SHIPPING and DELIVERY
i) Standard Delivery
All orders are sent by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery (‘Signed For’), 1st Class (and 2nd Class for heavier items). This requires a signature on delivery. If you know you are unlikely to be at home, then please give us an alternative delivery address, e.g. a neighbour. Otherwise Royal Mail will leave a card to tell you they have attempted delivery and you will either need to arrange to collect your package or to re-delivery by them.
All orders to the UK Mainland sent by Royal Mail 1st Class ‘Signed For’ should reach you the next working day after dispatch. (Royal Mail aim to deliver 93% of their 1st class mail the next working day within the UK Mainland). Orders to the UK Off-Mainland and BFPO can take a little longer. However, this is not guaranteed.
If you want to guarantee delivery the next working day for the UK Mainland, then you can choose our Express Delivery option at checkout (see below).
ii) Express Delivery – Royal Mail ‘Special Delivery’
We recommend that you only choose this option if it is crucial to guarantee that Royal Mail delivers your package the next working day after dispatch. There is an extra charge for this which is to cover the extra charge made by Royal Mail. (If orders are dispatched on a Friday, delivery by 1st class mail may well be quicker than by Special Delivery – see below).
What is Express Delivery?
1. Your order will be dispatched by us the same day if your order is received before 1pm (and we do not need to check measurements with you on any clothing ordered). It will then be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery.
2. Royal Mail Special Delivery guarantees delivery the next working day before 1pm to the UK Mainland for the charge we have applied, for orders dispatched Monday-Thursday. (This excludes a Friday dispatch with guaranteed next day delivery on a Saturday, since Royal Mail make a much higher charge for this.)
3. The package is fully trackable (we e-mail you the tracking number).
4. A signature is required on delivery. Therefore, someone needs to be present at the delivery address to receive and sign for the package.
EUROPE AND INTERNATIONAL/REST OF THE WORLD
Orders are sent by Royal Mail Airmail (either Airsure or ‘International Signed For’). This service requires a signature on delivery.
PLEASE NOTE: WE CANNOT SEND TO MOST P.O. BOX Nos. ABROAD AS THEY DO NOT ACCEPT ‘SIGNED REQUIRED’ PACKAGES, SO PLEASE GIVE A STREET ADDRESS FOR DELIVERY. PLEASE NOTE: If you do give a P.O. Box Number, then we will email you on receipt of your order to ask for a street address, so please read and respond as soon as possible to this.
At the busiest times of the year, i.e. in the lead-up to Christmas, when there is a terrific strain on the Royal Mail (and all delivery companies), ‘next day’ delivery may not be achieved for every order – and this is beyond our control. Therefore, please bear this in mind if you want Express Delivery and are expecting it to be delivered the next day.
Notification of Dispatch
We will send you an e-mail as soon as we have dispatched your item. This will include any tracking details available.
Delays in Dispatching your Order
There are several reasons why there may be a delay in handling and dispatching your order and these include:
1. We need to check something in your order with you
This is most likely to check your measurements for an item of clothing you have ordered. If that is the case, we send you an e-mail as soon we have receive your order to check your measurements and that you have ordered the correct size. It is therefore important that you check your e-mails and reply to us as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary delay in dispatch. While this will cause a short delay in dispatch, we feel it is worthwhile for you to check such details as our aim is to help you get the right size first time. This will minimise any frustration, disappointment and any need to return items if you have ordered the wrong size. We hope that you will appreciate the time we take to do this to serve you as best we can.
2. One or more items is out of stock
While all items advertised on our website are normally in stock, there may be the odd occasion when, for one reason or another, an item you have ordered is currently out of stock. If that happens, we will contact you immediately we receive your order to let you know and with an estimate of when we can send it to you.
